Tips for the bride: 6 things you shouldn't do

Tips for the bride: 6 things you shouldn't do
A good and flawless wedding starts with you! Therefore: 6 things you shouldn't do as a bride. Read and benefit.

You want to have a fantastic big day; we understand that only too well. And to be honest: a good start starts with yourself. These tips for the bride tell you what not to do. After all, a warned person counts for two ... We say: take advantage!

Don't be a super bride
You are smart, focused and energetic. But ... you're still only one woman. A super bride is a woman who spends every hour she's awake planning her wedding. Eventually, her gasoline runs out just before the wedding and it goes completely in the soup. The wedding favors are unfinished, the invitations are not stamped, shoes are not broken in and the catering has been completely forgotten! How do you avoid this point? Call your trusted sidekicks before you really sink into the prep work. We have a little secret for you: people want to help you. Do yourself a favor and accept the help!

Don't become a bossy bride
In the most traditional sense, your bridesmaids are there to nurture and support you, the bride, in the preparations and the big day itself. Over the years, bridesmaids have become more, well, maidservants. And honestly, there's nothing wrong with this to some extent. After all, it is your sister, niece or girlfriend and it is quite sweet how they pamper you in this time. However, some brides demand (or worse, demand!) A lot more. They expect to buy expensive outfits, arrange endless amounts for them, to wear their hair in a certain way ... Ho stop: keep it simple! Imagine that you were in their shoes, how would you feel? Asking the bridesmaids for help is good, but always be nice to them. After all, they are there for you; let this be the other way around.

Locations far from each other is a no go

Imagine: You are going to a very beautiful ceremony in an authentic church in a rural area. Magnificent! Then you look at your invitation. What?! The reception was scheduled much later in the day. And worse, at a location that is at least 45 minutes away! It's hard to plan when your heart is focused on two great locations. But try. After the first location, your guests are really out of the wedding mood after a long, long car ride.
Don't become an obsessed DIYer
Do you know the one bride who made her own wedding dress, crafted her own wedding cards and baked her own wedding cake? No, neither do we. We're pretty impressed if you can, but don't you get really stressed out? The point of DIY is to use your crafting skills to save money and make a one of a kind mark on a particular aspect. Don't fool yourself by ending up with glue in your hair at three in the morning and sore fingers from sewing your wedding dress. Only do what you can and hand over the rest to professionals. Just a tip!

Don't forget your fiancé!
The last and most important point: your fiancé. It may seem like you will never forget him, but many women marvel at this. We have completely crammed our heads into wedding dresses, wedding cakes and flowers, while the men often only know that they have to put on a suit and stand at the altar. Hey, listen! You are not alone at a wedding. You're going to marry that guy sitting there alone on the couch. Put the wedding to do list aside for a while and give him a good hug. Talk to each other!
